We inform you that the registration deadline for the symposium ENHANCE2025 has been extended to May 30th.

The symposium, which will be held on-line on June 25-26th, is organized in two sessions: Conservation biology and Repetitive DNA.

The registration is free of charge and awards will be assigned to young researchers and therefore we encourage them to share their results and to take up this opportunity.

Dear friends and colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the Second virtual Symposium presented by the Molecular Phylogenetic Lab of the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences (DISVA), Polytechnic University of Marche.

The key theme is “ENvironmental cHANges, Conservation biology, and Evolution – ENHANCE”. The symposium is organized in two sessions “conservation biology” and “repetitive DNA” in animal species. The former aims to understand how genetic biodiversity is crucial for species resilience; the latter focuses on the role of “repetitive DNA” in shaping genomes and regulatory networks to allow species adaptation.

The two sessions will be opened by invited speakers.

Awards for the best oral presentation and the best poster will be assigned to young researchers and therefore we encourage them to share their results and to take up this opportunity.

The deadline for submission of abstracts and registration as presenter is 30 May 2025, but registration for not presenter will remain open until 10 June 2025.

The registration is free of charge and is open to 200 participants.

Come già vi avevamo anticipato in altre e-mail, quest’anno l’AGI e la SIMAG hanno organizzato il meeting annuale assieme e stanno definendo il programma nel dettaglio.
Il Joint Meeting AGI-SIMAG 2023 si terrà a Cortona (AR) dal 14 al 16 settembre 2023 ed il programma è organizzato in quattro lecture con i rispettivi speakers:

Gli speakers che hanno al momento confermato il loro intervento per i minisimposi sono:
Riccardo Papa, Marco Ferraguti, Serena Varotto, Patrizia Zavattari, Anna Picca, Agnese De Mario, Saverio Minucci, Andrea Guarracino, Marco Gerdol, Nikolaus Rajewsky, Ashley Sanders, Massimiliano Pagani, Giuseppe Passarino, Fabrizio D’Adda di Fagagna e Stefano Salvioli.

Per quest’anno AGI e SIMAG hanno pensato a due novità:

1. Uno spettacolo teatrale in onore di Mendel con l’aiuto dei soci Marco Salvemini, Giuseppe Saccone e Serena Aceto: Le serre di Mendel di Massimo Ruccio (subito dopo le due assemblee);
2. Una Tavola Rotonda conclusiva del Joint meeting (in italiano) sull’impatto dell’intelligenza artificiale sulla nostra ricerca e didattica dal titolo: “Ricerca e didattica al tempo dell’intelligenza artificiale”.

Quest’anno la nostra assemblea annuale, in cui si dovranno eleggere il Presidente e 3 consiglieri in scadenza di mandato e in cui si assegnerà il premio per la migliore tesi di dottorato (informazioni per la partecipazione al seguente link: t.ly/0DpV), si terrà il 14 settembre dalle 17:00 alle 19:00.

Come ogni anno a Cortona l’iscrizione sarà gestita da Cortona Sviluppo e vi invieremo a breve i dettagli.

Gli interessati alla sottomissione di un poster ad uno dei minisimposi possono iniziare il processo di sottomissione al seguente link: https://forms.gle/n2B9r9CTVEQf1UmJ8. In ognuno dei minisimposi le chairwomen e/o i chairmen selezioneranno fra gli abstract presentati come poster uno di questi per la presentazione orale di 10 minuti (inclusa discussione) all’interno di ogni minisimposio. Se volete essere considerati per la presentazione orale, potete richiederlo al momento della sottomissione dell’abstract del poster. Scadenza 31 Luglio 2023.

It is a great honor to invite you all to participate in the 15th European Nitrogen Fixation Conference (ENFC), which will be held August 31st – September 3rd 2023 in Naples, Italy at the Hotel Royal Continental.

The ENFC is a European based biennial congress that brings together scientists investigating biological N2 fixation (BNF) from different prospects (e.g. biochemistry, microbiology, ecology, plant physiology, etc.).
